PRP Liquid Gold Facial — Revitalize Damaged Tissue

PRP Liquid Gold Facial refers to platelet-rich plasma, blood plasma that has been enriched with a higher concentration of human platelets. Platelets are a crucial component of the blood that serve to not only clot the blood, but aid in the regeneration of damaged tissue. Platelets contain a protein called growth factors, which play a crucial role in the healing process. In the case of PRP, the concentration of these platelets is elevated, resulting in an enriched blood plasma capable of dramatically accelerating healing and skin rejuvenation.

A PRP Liquid Gold Facial is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that restores and improves facial tone with the addition of new, revitalised tissue. Samples of the patient’s blood is taken from the arm area and spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma from the red and white blood cells. The platelets and, therefore, the growth factors, are then concentrated into platelet rich plasma and injected back into the face. The aim of these injections is to stimulate and regenerate aged and damaged skin and hypodermal tissues, and to produce new dermis. PRP can be combined with dermal fillers to further enhance problem areas, particularly under the eye.

How does the PRP Liquid Gold Facial Work?

Luxe Body offers all new clients a complimentary first consultation where the procedure and its outcomes are explained in detail. The PRP treatment takes place in two stages. Growth factors in your platelets are isolated from your blood and concentrated using PRP. Blood is taken and centrifuged to isolate platelets — this takes about 10 minutes.

The platelets are activated to release growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue. These growth factors produce increased collagen and encourage new blood flow. To rejuvenate new skin, these growth factors must be put back into your face.

The concentrated plasma is injected into your face.  Numbing cream is first applied to ensure optimal comfort. Then, using a very tiny needle, the growth factors are injected back into your face, which subsequently activates multi-potent stem cells already in the skin, forcing it to grow new tissue. This new tissue includes new collagen, new fatty tissue for smoothness, and new blood vessels for a healthy glow.

What Results Can I Expect?

A PRP facial takes effect over the course of two to three months, and can last for up to two years. Individual results, however, vary from patient to patient and the information provided on our website should be used as a guideline only. Dermal fillers can be used in conjunction with PRP therapies to further correct volume loss and improve wrinkles and lines in the face.
A PRP treatment should only be undertaken at the recommendation of a qualified specialist.
